Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and whisk in the flour to create a roux. Cook for about one minute until slightly thickened.
  2. Gradually whisk in the beer and milk until smooth. Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion powder, and hot sauce.
  3. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens (about five minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and gradually stir in the shredded cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
