Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 garlic clove, smashed and peeled
  • 1 1/2 oz cream cheese
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 oz finely grated parmesan
  • 3 oz baby spinach
  • 1/2 recipe artisan pizza dough (one 15 oz dough ball)
  • 4 oz shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese (whole milk, if possible)
  • 1 oz coarsely grated pecorino
  • 4 oz marinated artichoke quarters (8-10), drained and patted dry

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream and smashed garlic clove. Let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes to infuse the garlic flavor.
  2. Remove the garlic clove and stir in the cream cheese until melted and smooth. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  3. Add the finely grated parmesan and baby spinach, stirring until the spinach wilts. Set aside.
  4. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out your artisan pizza dough into your desired shape—round or rectangular. Aim for about ¼ inch thickness for best results.
  6. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone. Spread an even layer of the prepared spinach cream sauce over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top. Add coarsely grated pecorino and distribute marinated artichoke quarters evenly across the pizza.
  8. Carefully place your assembled pizza in the oven. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  9. Once baked, remove from oven using oven mitts. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious artichoke pizza with spinach parmesan cream sauce!
