Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1 garlic clove, smashed and peeled
- 1 1/2 oz cream cheese
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 oz finely grated parmesan
- 3 oz baby spinach
- 1/2 recipe artisan pizza dough (one 15 oz dough ball)
- 4 oz shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese (whole milk, if possible)
- 1 oz coarsely grated pecorino
- 4 oz marinated artichoke quarters (8-10), drained and patted dry
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream and smashed garlic clove. Let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes to infuse the garlic flavor.
- Remove the garlic clove and stir in the cream cheese until melted and smooth. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Add the finely grated parmesan and baby spinach, stirring until the spinach wilts. Set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up.
- On a floured surface, roll out your artisan pizza dough into your desired shape—round or rectangular. Aim for about ¼ inch thickness for best results.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone. Spread an even layer of the prepared spinach cream sauce over the dough.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top. Add coarsely grated pecorino and distribute marinated artichoke quarters evenly across the pizza.
- Carefully place your assembled pizza in the oven. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
- Once baked, remove from oven using oven mitts. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious artichoke pizza with spinach parmesan cream sauce!
