  • 14 oz ground pork
  • 1 egg
  • 2 small coriander roots
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup finely diced carrots
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
  • 2 dried shiitake mushrooms (soaked and finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp golden mountain sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the spice mixture by crushing coriander roots, black peppercorns, and garlic using a mortar and pestle.
  2. In a bowl, mix golden mountain sauce, white sugar, sesame oil, and oyster sauce.
  3. Blend the ground pork with the sauce mixture, egg, and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Combine the filling in a large bowl with the crushed spices and diced vegetables.
  5. Shape the dumplings using wonton wrappers and steam them for about 10 minutes.
