Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries (finely diced)
  • ¼ cup cane or brown sugar
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • 23 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk

Instructions

  1. Macerate ¾ cup of diced strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of diced strawberries, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 10 minutes until syrupy.
  3. Allow the syrup to cool in the fridge.
  4. In a glass, mix in 2-3 tablespoons of strawberry syrup with ¾ cup of non-dairy milk and ice.
  5. Top with macerated strawberries and stir gently.
