Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • ¼ onion, diced
  • 1 green onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, diced
  • ½ cup light soy sauce
  • ¾ cup cola
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pot. Gently add the eggs and cook for 6–7 minutes for soft-boiled or 9–10 minutes for hard-boiled.
  2. Transfer boiled eggs to an ice bath to cool.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, cola, sesame oil (if using), jalapeño, onion, green onion, garlic, and sesame seeds.
  4. Peel cooled eggs and submerge them in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
  5. Serve sliced in half or whole as desired.
