  • 1 pound beef steak (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente (7-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add diced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté bell peppers and onions in the same skillet for 4-5 minutes until softened.
  4. Lower heat to medium-low; stir in whole milk followed by garlic powder, onion powder, and shredded pepper jack cheese until melted into a smooth sauce. Season to taste.
  5. Add cooked steak and macaroni to the cheese sauce; mix gently to combine.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
